David leverages his extensive experience in leading a manufacturing and distribution business through a period of industry disruption and consolidation, driven by the forces of globalisation and economic change. Following a subsequent period of reflection and learning during his work in leading strategic marketing programmes with the University of Auckland Business School, David has led multiple consulting projects across Asia, Europe, the US and the UK with a Fortune 500 company. He has also worked extensively with several top 100 NZ companies informing strategic marketing decisions with a special focus on differentiation strategy and performance improvement. Well-travelled, and by nature gregarious and outgoing, David relates well to people across functions and levels of client organisations. Clients have commented that his engagement and insights have had a transformational impact on their businesses.
David holds an MCom from the University of Auckland, where he was awarded the Fowlds prize for the most distinguished student in his year.
With a background largely in the marketing and communications of financial services, insurance and investments for large corporates in the Uk and NZ, Val has a unique blend of numeracy and creativity with significant expertise across the full spectrum of the marketing discipline.
Her skills are in translating data into practical strategic and tactical initiatives that add to customer value, customer satisfaction, and to the bottom line.
Val has a positive, energetic, diplomatic and collaborative style. Much of her corporate career has involved leading transformational change, requiring excellent planning and communication skills.
Val has a Master Of Arts from the University of Glasgow, a postgrad Marketing and an MBA from the Strathclyde Graduate Business School. She has served on the Board of North Harbour Rugby since 2014, and as a judge in the NZ Export Awards since 2015.
Owen's background is in the agriculture and telecommunications industries. As Statistics Manager, he managed all market research undertaken by the world-leading Livestock Improvement Corporation of New Zealand, also working on the development of the NZ dairy industry predictive econometric model.
At Telecom NZ Owen managed the customer satisfaction and customer value research programmes, including econometric analysis of the data. The customer value research programme was developed in conjunction with Ray Kordupleski of AT&T.
At Incisive, Owen manages market research and process measurement projects and specialises in econometric modelling.
Owen has a Bachelor of Management Studies (Hons) from the University of Waikato.

Nina is our secondary research wizard. She currently lectures at the University of Auckland on the Business Masters programme. Her BCom (Hons), MCom (Hons) and PhD in Marketing were all achieved at the University of Auckland.
